WHO WE ARE

Founded by Ana Angel in 2004, Angel Family Farm is a family-owned farm located in Goshen, New York. Originally from Progreso, Mexico, Ana had grown up on a farm and harbored a dream of getting back to the land. Her opportunity came when she was accepted in The New Farmer Development Project, which helps immigrants with agricultural experience establish small farms. In this program Ana trained in organic techniques like planting beneficial inter-planting that keeps bugs at bay. Her farm has since flourished to what it is now, a 17-acre sustainable farm providing for farmers markets and CSAs in New York City and New Jersey. It brings Ana peace of mind knowing the farm grows using sustainable practices. She believes in providing a safe product for her family and for the communities she serves.

ANGEL FAMILY FARM CSA PRODUCE BOX

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is like a magazine subscription, but instead you are receiving a weekly subscription of fresh farm vegetables! The Harvest Share CSA gives farmers the ability to grow food directly for the community and ensures access to locally grown produce. The Angel Family Farm produce box features Mexican and other seasonal vegetables that participants pick up weekly for 20 weeks. Each week, a valued share of $30 will be subsidized so you only have to pay $11.

As Harvest Share CSA participant, you will be asked to participate in a few surveys and a measure of fruit and vegetable intake. The surveys include one at the beginning of the program (45 minutes), a couple feedback surveys (15 minutes) throughout the 20-week CSA, and one at the end of the program (45 minutes). Participants will receive a gift card upon completion of the longer (45 minute) survey each time.

HOW TO REGISTER

Please complete all the steps below to secure your spot

  1. Fill out the registration form below to indicate your interest in becoming a Harvest Share participant.
  2. Once you complete the registration form, you will be directed to Brooklyn Grange’s CSA site.
  3. Add a CSA share to cart, go to check out and complete payment. Please read carefully and select your payment method.
  4. Once you check out, you will receive an email with a link to complete a pre-survey. Please complete before the first week of produce pick up.

DIRECTIONS TO CSA PICK UP

The CSA pick up location will be at Brooklyn Grange’s rooftop farm in Sunset Park. Located at 850 3rd Ave, the building is large and tan/brick. Enter through the main mall lobby on the south side of the building, next to the parking lot. Take one of the elevators on the left just inside the lobby to R (roof).

If you choose to drive, some street parking is available in the area. We recommend allowing 15 extra minutes to find parking in case spaces are limited. The parking lot is reserved for Bed Bath & Beyond customers only.
