On October 28th, Harvest Share hosted a block party that was open to all Sunset Park community members. The block party had a total of 21 community partners who each shared resources and facilitated various activities for all ages. Local representatives including New York State Senator Iwen Chu, and New York City Council Member Alexa Avilés supported and gave remarks at the block party to welcome Sunset Park community members. This family friendly event also had multiple performances including a Taekwondo demo from Champions TKD Sunset Park, cultural performances from Chinese American Planning Council’s older adult group, and a cultural performance from the RBH center’s children group.
